Hong Kong Disneyland Opening Ceremony

Hong Kong Disneyland Opening Ceremony is one thing you do not want to miss when visiting this Disney park!

• To make sure you do not miss this fun event, arrive to the park 45 minutes early before it opens.  So if the park opens at 10:30, be there by 9:45 and get in line or wait by the gates for a great spot to watch.  If the park opens by 10:30 and you get there by 10:00 you could miss all the fun!
• Before Mickey and Minnie arrive, a cast remember will pick one lucky family to come into the park and wait by the Mickey flowers.  This family will get to meet Mickey and Minnie and get pictures with them before the park officially opens to the crowds.

Mickey and Minnie Riding in Style

• Aren’t these two riding in style?! How cute are they in this Taxi cab!
• When you are facing the Mickey flowers, the taxi cab enters on the left and parks on the right of the front entrance.

Waving Hello

• Next Mickey and Minnie hop out of the cab and walk along ticketing entrance waving hello to everyone.  They even do a little kiss and Minnie does a leg kick, which is the cutest!

• Then Mickey and Minnie go over to the Mickey flowers where the family is there waiting to meet them!
• Cast members are lined up and take lots of photos for the family.
• We went two mornings and one of the mornings after the family took photos, the family was escorted to the front of the gates and given a giant key.  After they all yelled welcome to Hong Kong Disneyland!  It was super cute!

Photopass Spot

• Mickey and Minnie say goodbye and take off in their taxi.  They then head over to their meet and greet spot.
• The park then opens to the crowds 30 minutes early!!!  The rides are not open yet, but the shops on Main street are, and best of all… character meet and greets!
• If you want to meet Mickey and Minnie, they are right under the gazebo at the front of Main Street.  They are both there together to say hello so it’s pretty awesome!
• With our 30 minutes before the park officially opened we got to go meet Mickey and Minnie, take pictures with Donald Duck and do a quick walk through some shops on Main Street.
